DC Metro Transit May Shutdown 19 Stations and End Weekend Service -&- A Financial Planner Advises "Renting" vs. "Home Ownership"

I knew transit authorities were having problems, but I had no idea just how bad things were until I read the article below. 

I found the second article below from a financial planner very interesting. I always thought that homeownership was better than renting -- but that may not be the case...especially in this economy.
