I thought Pelosi and Mnuchin were going to work out a stimulus deal by today. I was obviously wrong. The house has left for October recess without any deal between the house and senate. The election is early November, which only leaves a little time to work out an agreement.  One group that was hoping for a deal to be worked out this week, are airline workers. About 35,000 airline workers were laid off today. Another 10,000 will be either furloughed or laid off by the middle of the month. Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has made it clear that he expects other WH staff members to get COVID19. I am guessing he is including himself. This whole thing with Trump getting COVID is something I never expected to see. Let's see how this one plays out.  At this very moment, there are thousands of airline workers who are waiting for a new stimulus deal that will help them keep their jobs. I have been actively searching today, but I have not found anything concrete regarding stimulus deal discussions. Of course, I will continue to search... As of today, there is still no stimulus deal.  Pelosi has been on social media tweeting that she spoke with Mnuchin yesterday for five hours. Even after this long conversation the two still couldn't come to an agreement.  On another topic, I did a little research and found out that Trump's Supreme Court nominee (Amy Coney Barrett) previously wrote a letter supporting the end of Roe v.
